SOUTHWEST TYPE 5GP

A very low-density, gypsum-based product, specifically developed for passive fire protection in buildings under UL standards.

A 15 lb/ft³ (240 kg/m³) SFRM designed to protect internal structural columns, beams, joists, decks, walls, roofs, girders, floors, and pre-cast concrete components against fire. It has been tested and approved for up to 4 hours of fire resistance. The Southwest Fireproofing Products Company’s trademark is Southwest Type 5GP.

APPLICATION

Southwest Type 5GP is wet applied with a worm gear machine. To be able to carry out the application we must prepare the surface and put mesh in place if the constructive design so requires.
