Nox-Rust® VCI Powder 1000SF

Nox-Rust® VCI Powder 1000SF

Nox-Rust VCI Powder 1000SF is a specialized corrosion inhibitor powder designed to protect ferrous and non-ferrous metals from corrosion during storage and transportation. This powder is typically used in industrial settings, such as manufacturing facilities and shipping, where metals are susceptible to corrosion and rust. Nox-Rust VCI Powder 1000SF works by releasing volatile corrosion inhibitors that form a protective layer around the metal, preventing corrosion and rust from forming. The powder is easy to apply and is an effective solution for protecting metals of all shapes and sizes. It can be used on a variety of metals, including steel, aluminum, and copper, making it a versatile solution for corrosion prevention in a range of industries.

Applications

Nox-Rust VCI Powders provide continuous corrosion protection for interior metal surfaces of enclosed systems.  Use it:
  • For lay-up, preservation, and mothball applications to protect internal cavities and recesses.
  • Preserving equipment that needs to undergo hydrostatic testing prior to shipping and storage.
  • In a mothballed facility, Nox-Rust powders keep machinery in working order so that production may be restored quickly if needed.
Nox-Rust VCI Powders deliver targeted, effective corrosion protection into void spaces, recesses and cavities of large equipment. OEMs or fabricators that package machinery, pipes, or large components for export can use it as:
  • A loose powder, to fog or spray into areas that VCI outer wrap can’t reach
  • An 8.5″ x 11″ powder pouch, to add inside large enclosures up to 900 cu. ft.
  • A 3 3/4″ x 4″ powder pouch, that works as an emitter to protect 15 cu. ft. of space
Water-soluble, silica-free Nox-Rust VCI Powder is specially designed to protect the interior metal surfaces of enclosed systems:
  • Boilers
  • Turbines
  • Heat exchangers
  • Compressors
  • Tubes, pipes
  • Power generation equipment
  • Mining equipment
  • Drilling equipment
Apply VCI powders by dusting or sprinkling, fogging into the enclosed space with a low-pressure air hose, or dissolve in water. The VCI powder is safe and environmentally friendly. It does not contain phosphates, heavy metals or nitrites.Metals Protected: Ferrous Silica-free, water soluble powder for protecting equipment during storage, lay-up or hydrostatic testing. Nox-Rust 1000SF Loose Powder Apply powder by dusting, fogging, or dissolve in water. No need to remove before restarting the unit after shut-down. Sold in 5-lb. and 25.-lb boxes.Nox-Rust 1000SF Pouch Emitter Each 8” x 11” pouch contains Nox-Rust 1000SF powder to protect up to 900 cubic feet of enclosed space.  Put it inside boilers, tanks, void spaces inside vessels, turbines and steam or condensate pipe lines. The breathable polyethylene sealed bag is able to diffuse slowly, protecting ferrous metals during extended periods of equipment inactivity, during storage or lay-up.

ZINGA® – The optimal solution for protecting solar panel systems

Rust is the number one “enemy” of solar panel mounting structures, leading to rapid degradation and reducing system efficiency.   To address this issue, ZINGA® has been developed as the optimal protection solution. Unlike conventional anti-corrosion paints, ZINGA® operates based on an electrochemical mechanism, creating an active protective layer that self-heals when scratched. This ensures…

Dehumidification In Abrasive Blasting

Discover why dehumidification is critical for successful abrasive blasting!   Without dehumidification during the blasting and coating process, corrosion can occur on exposed surfaces before a protective coating is applied, leading to significant operational challenges. If a blasted surface remains exposed for too long, ‘flash rust’ can develop, making the surface unsuitable for coating within…
